OMV, one of Austria's largest industrial organisations, is an integrated energy group. OMV has been established as a UK upstream player for over 20 years. Presently, it is engaged in a major investment programme in the UKCS and production is set to quadruple in the next 10 years. Its focus is increasingly WOS where it has assets in exploration, development and production. OMV has key development projects underway including the Rosebank and Cambo assets and is engaged in a €3 billion redevelopment project on the producing Schiehallion asset, which should prolong field life to 2035 and beyond.

We are looking for a Senior Exploration Geophysicist to focus on identifying and working up drillable prospects WOS where the company has recently acquired 2,500 km² of seismic data. You will be required to undertake quantitative geophysical work on operated and non-operated exploration projects. Ideally you will have skills in rock physics, pre-stack interpretation and qualitative seismic interpretation. Knowledge of seismic acquisition and processing would also be helpful. It is essential that you have experience of the maturation of exploration prospects and geophysical project work for development opportunities. North Sea experience is essential and while WOS experience would be advantageous it is not a prerequisite.
