Exploration Manager

Our client is an oil and gas company, based in the Middle East.
We are looking for an Exploration Manager to cover all domesic and certain international activity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and will lead the subsurface geological and geophysical technical evaluation of all domestic acreage as well as one international asset.
They will ensure that the highest technical standards are maintained at all times whilst drawing on internal technical resources as well as external consultancy support.
The primary role for the next 18 months is to technically lead the license round process of all the open acreage, including offshore, transition zone and onshore areas. 
Once the license round is completed, the role will evolve into one of managing work programmes of companies that have acquired license acreage.
The role will entail both hands-on technical analysis as well as playing a key leadership role within the management team.

Based on business requirements, and the requirement to grow the technical team, the Exploration Manager will ensure that the right calibre of technical staff are brought into the group, and that the team is deployed in the most efficient and technically appropriate manner.
International New Venture evaluations will also feature in the workscope.
