Background In just five years Nexen Petroleum (UK) Limited has become one of the North Sea's foremost E&P businesses. They have a core expertise in the Central North Sea where they operate the producing Buzzard, Scott/Telford and Ettrick fields and with 300,000 boepd they are the second largest North Sea liquids producer. They also have an enviable record of exploration success and have made several operated discoveries, including Golden Eagle - the largest North Sea find in 10 years. Position Overview This position is as the development geologist to support future infill, appraisal and development options for the Ettrick/Blackbird team. Specifically, the post holder will focus 60% on Ettrick/Blackbird requirements, and 40% on contingent resources portfolio. The Buzzard/Ettrick Subsurface Manager and the Ettrick Team Leader will be key interfaces for the Ettrick and Blackbird elements, along with the Scott Area Subsurface Manager who will be the key interface for the contingent resources team.
